ASRB requires all unarmed guards to complete 8 hours of training to receive an unarmed guard license.
Your guards can join us at our facility, one of our leased offices throughout the state, or we can make a special trip to do the training on site at your facility.
Armed Security Guard Training

Armed Guards in Alabama are required to undergo 14 hours of training and a qualification for their service weapon upon initial licensing. Guards that currently maintain a license must renew every two years.

What Guns & Gear Do I Need For Class?
For the Armed Guard Class (Alabama Security Guard Certification) you will need at a minimum a pen and notebook as well as your service weapon and 150 rounds of ammunition. The qualification course is 30 rounds however the class will run through pistol fundamentals requiring a bit of range time.
Your gun should be a quality firearm in serviceable condition. This is a bit of a subjective test so please call if you have questions about your sidearm. To get the most out of your class, you should bring at least one spare magazine and a magazine holster, as well as a quality plastic holster for your pistol.
